· Cardiac electrophysiology is a branch of cardiology which
deals with studying the electrical activity of the heart.
· Electrophysiology is usually done for diagnosing arrythmias (irregular
heart beat) and their point of origin in the heart which in turn helps to
decide the treatment accordingly.
· It's an invasive procedure and it's usually done by a qualified
electrophysiologist.
